Magdaléna was born in Brno (CZE) in 1976 and has always been interested in culture and history especially with regard to fashion. She is a keen trend watcher, whereby she knows how to value and relate contemporary expressions of fashion to the early 20th century origins. At a young age she dressed herself in classic fashion styles and she has always taken a comprehensive approach, creating stylish top to toe compositions. She is fascinated by Bohemian and Moravian craftsmanship and she hopes to position her creative work in that tradition.
Magdalena bought a lot of vintage hat blocks (mostly from old millinery saloons and private milliners from the twenties and thirties of the 20st century) and started to design hats. Ladies with a sense of style and fashion responded enthusiastically to the elegant and colorful designs. She expanded her portfolio and private clients discovered the class and originality of her privately produced hat line up. Many of her hats are decorated by vintage bijouterie brooches. Her work caught the attention of number of galleries and museums. She is spending more time on the design and production of hats and hast turned her passion into a profession.
Magdalena has attracted clients from USA, Switzerland, Austria, Afrika and the Czech Republic. Her hats are designated for people with a special taste of historic fashion and luxury. She is focused on personal relationship with her clients and their needs and therefore Magdalena hats are not available in any shop, but can only be selected and prepared by appointment in her atelier.
